The Brouwer family has purchased a farm in Belize where we plan to grow tropical fruits and a market garden. We have enjoyed our time at Maitside so much and will miss you but are excited at this new venture that God has brought our way!

Ideas are brewing for this year's organic garden and we are planning to offer Family Veggie Shares and Family Fruit Shares. These 'shares' would be designed to feed a family of 4 for a year and would involve some processing and preserving on your part (with plenty of help and advice from us!) Super popular in the 90's, Lobo's are our top performing variety at Maitside! Crunchy, sweet-tart and super juicy and this year they are HUGE too! Come on in and try something new. They taste like apple candy. Also perfect for making pink applesauce. A great variety to try in your home orchard as they are easy to prune, fairly scab resistant and very versatile.
